4. Discussion of local and regional energy-related issues, including:
• rail transport of fossil and other fuels; concerns about 18 December 2016 PanAm derailment in Buckland, 27 February 2017 derailment in Charlemont; remaining railroad ties and debris along tracks
• State-proposed energy legislation
• alternative electric power suppliers, including NEXAMP, programs used in Orange, Greenfield; municipal power aggregation opportunity updates
• Grant possibility for solar access for Franklin/Hampshire low-moderate income households
• New Massachusetts program: HeatSmart Mass (Mass CEC and DOER)

5. Update on 2017 Green Communities Grant application submitted 09 March 2017
